Cannot move mouse after map loads (ONLY multiplayer)

I can't move my mouse and the keys are not responding after I press "join game". I'm at the kit selection menu and i can't do anything. What's strange it happens ONLY in multiplayer. I played just fine 20 minutes ago! Please help before I resort to reinstalling.

EDIT: nvm I found the answer: resetting controls to default (wtf?)

well that happens to me for about 20 seconds and then i can spawn normally and i don't experience anymore slowdown after that...
thought it was a common problem especially on lo-spec systems

With me its 2 minutes, not 20 seconds. It's been a lot better since I lowered the view distance from 100 to 80% though.

You're missing the point - it's a bug. Everything was going smoothly in the background, people fighting and stuff. It's not that my computer was overloaded. If that was the case, resetting my controls wouldn't have helped, would it?
