Cannot start game

I click on any server through steam, CS opens where I can see the 2 dudes and then everything shuts down and nothing continues loading, I Played 1.6 a shit load of times, and then all of a sudden I can't do anything, I've countless times restart, re d/l'd...and still nothing, a friend of mine is also experiencing the same problem..any ideas/helpful hints?

I'll help you if you tell me what this have to do with HL2. There is a steam forum you know. Mod please move this thread.

Try with going into Games, right-click on Counter-Strike and choose properties, then choose 'Launch Options' and add the text "-gl" without the quotes, then it will hopefully work.

Thank you very much, I will try, I posted in here b/c I haVe never had a problem with Cs until going through steam so I figured it might have been a steam oriented problem, thanks again, Crazy
