Can't get the console up!

I've tried everything. adding "-console" to the shortcut, activating from options, adding "-console" in Steam at launch options. It still doesn't work.

Make sure you save the changes, I was making that stupid mistake when I started playing source beta.

There are two solutions, one, go to C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\pablovi\half-life 2\hl2\cfg

Open the config.cfg file wiht notepad and add this line

bind "\" "toggleconsole"

There is already a line like this

bind "`" "toggleconsole"

Don't change that, just add the other line, then save the file, and you're all set, you can open the Console with the button left to the "1" number in the keyboard. You need to add the line exactly as I put it, no matter what you have printed in that button, in HL2 that button is bind to "\"

The other solution is to temporarily put yuour Keyboard in english, if you choose this, then don't do nothig else, it should work.
