Can't Log In!

I started up my computer today, then Steam, hoping to play Lost Coast again. Then a Steam Login window appears, asking me for my password and all that. It was odd, but I figured it was just a small glitch. No such luck. Whenever I try to enter it, it says that either the password's incorrect or I don't have an account. What the hell? Has anyone else encountered this?

It's worth noting that last night, when I started steam up, my account name was just displayed as "%account%".

Actually, I just figured it out. Please close this thread. I changed my password and now all is good.

I'm having the same problem and didn't change anything. now its asking me for my pw and i put it in and its telling me "steam is having trouble connecting to the steam servers" and I know i'm putting in the correct password.

Great, I clicked on the "retrieve lost account" and now its saying the account I've been using since day 1 of steam's existence doesn't exist! W.T.F. I hope this is just some temporary screw up on their end. because this is BS. Who do I have to email to clear this up?

If that doesn't work, you can file a support ticket here : Link
Be sure to include your password (if you don't remember, passwords you think they were), your Steam account name, your e-mail address, your CD-key and if possible your billing info you used when buying the game. Maybe you can also scan the receipt and upload it to imageshack.us and paste the link in the ticket too. I had this too once and they responded in 3 days
