Can't run Half Life 2 or any Steam games in Full Screen view.

Hi everyone,

I have a laptop that I play HL2 and all of my Steam games on. The problem is that I have to play them in windowed view because it will not let me play it in Full Screen. I would really like to play in full screen. I run Windows Vista on my laptop, didn't know if that had anything to do with it. Does anyone know what I can do differently to make it run in Full Screen view??? Any help would be great, Thanks!!

what happens when you click the "full screen view" option?

yeah, did you try to set it to fullscreen in options? and dont listen to narvi(no offense), your system specs have nothing to do with it, it revolves around vista, the options, the files installed, and any conflicting programs. do you have conflicting programs? things that run in the backround really can hurt hl2. vista could be blocking hl2, which would not allow a lot of things to happen, try to turn the goddamn safety settings down, they get really annoying, and, you could have a file or two or more missing, it could have been tampered with, and lastly, did you try to change it in the options? and you can stretch the window to fullscreen if all else fails
