Can't see the boat in water hazard

Hi,

I can't seem to see the boat in the water hazard chapter, though i know im riding it. i can see the shadow, not the boat. and some of the walls, bacckground, even alex when she rescued freeman in the first chapter, where all just white lines, the texture of the graphic wasn't there. it's like the face of alex was just a white mask. these are my comp specs, hope someone can help me.

celeron 2.4 ghz
512mb ram (not sure if dd or sd, or anything of that sort)
video card : radeon 9200 w/ 128mb mem. (agp)
motherboard is by gigabyte, GA-8VM533.

I installed already a chipset update, the video card update, & directx 9.0c. but i cant still see the boat. any suggestions?

Yes. It sounds like the game files are missing.

Rather than uninstalling and reinstalling just type steam://validate/220 into your internet browser and press enter.

This will launch Steam and check your files with the ones on Valve's server and anything missing will be redownloaded.
