Cant view certain sites

evening all

Ive been trying to create an ad hoc wireless network to my laptop that i eventually managed although i appear to have messed up my normal cable connection on my desktop pc now. I cant view a lot of sites now, paypal, ebay, apple.com, google (sometimes).

I have no idea why. My mate mentioned it was my MTU and should be lowered to 1458. I done that but with no luck. Annoyingly google doesnt work either so i cant search.

Any ideas what ive done?

I deleted the ad hoc connection and effectively started over but that didnt work. Im assuming somewhere down the line ive changed something somewhere, although I dont know what.

I also done a system restore and that didnt work.


Any help?

I would, but I cant be arsed
