I hope not. I don't like it. I'll bet Microsoft charges a fee to include the badging and service (unless Microsoft themselves publish it). Resident Evil 4 PC didn't use Games for Windows.

capcom used games for windows with Street Fighter 4, i wouldn't be surprised if they used it for this as well.

I didn't find the GFW Live in SF4 to be intrusive at all. In fact, it's loads better since I was forced to use it last.

Err, Games for Windows wasn't even around when RE4 PC came out.. So that's a bit of a moot point.

One of the first Games for Windows – Live-enabled title was Halo 2 for Windows Vista, which was launched to the public on May 31, 2007

It says one of the first games, but doesn't say 'the first'.

ShadowRun came out 4 days earlier, which was the first game to use it, Halo 2 was the second.

Remember, RE4PC came out earlier in Europe than it did in the US, in the UK it came out 02.03.2007, in other words, before GWFL was available.

So, my point stands.
