So anyone seen it yet, its on the net already. I'm 50 mins so far and its very good, the drama is nicely done, not to over the top, some parts feel that it was shot through a home video camera and then filtered to make it have film grain.

Also don't miss the scene with the prototype Cylon. :naughty:

So far, this will develop into a show that could match Battlestar in terms of drama, of course it'll never match he epic battle scenes.

Also here is a clip from the show

and a new trailer

I'm not too into it. Or rather I'm wary about it. How is it so far in matching up with BSG? Anything that's like a retcon or canonical errors thus far?

Its so far has not had any relations to Battlestar, by the looks of it, there trying to stay away from some stuff.

Looks incredibly boring.

Like a somewhat futuristic soap opera.

Two rich families dealing with family issues and generally crying about everything = soap opera.
Judging by what I've read and seen, this has a pinch of futuristic technology in it.

Sooo I'd say that means it's a futuristic soap opera.
I'll probably rent it when it comes on DVD since it would appear that they're not airing the pilot on TV, for some retarded reason.

Ok seen it, you know what the show felted like, Damages.

Fixed.

Ok seen it, you what the show felted like, Damages.

I'd like this sentence to conform more to the English language, please.

Show was alright, a bit long-winded at places but they threw in just enough robots at the end to make it awesome. Also, the acting is top-notch. There's no real connection to BSG, only one character from BSG appears as a ten-year old child, and he's a minor character in this show.

downloading it now, but anything even remotely related to BSG is fine by me.

What?

v Yeah, but I think he was referring to "Damages".

I'm more interested in Battlestar Galactica: The Plan.

With terrorist plots, suicide bombings and mafia assassinations. Yeah definitely a soap rather than a drama.
:dozey:

Just got through watching it.
Simply put: Awesome.
It was a little slow in a few parts but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Very surprising.

Can't wait until next year.

Just watched this, and I agree with what Lucid says. I wasn't expecting much from it, and it surprised me. I thought it was really, really good. Great music too.

You suck lemons from my tits, and you're an idiot, Damages is a TV show you wally

I don't give a flying ****- 'felted' isn't a word. Well, actually it is, but it doesn't mean what you meant it to mean. The past tense of feel is felt, and nothing else.

Just watched Caprica in two parts and it was generally good. I would have preferred another season to BSG instead of this but I'll gauge later on if its worth it or not

Hot, learn to use English, Rimmer, please don't degrade a thread with such, and instead take it to pm.

Premieres tonight and there's no buzz at all here?

People may have watched it already.

I dunno why you'd be surprised by that. BSG lost a whole lot of fans towards the end of the show, and there's absolutely zero appeal to this idea. Unless you're hotnumbers, but no one wants that.

Fair enough.

The pilot managed to pique my interest so I'm giving the BSG team the benefit of the doubt for the first few eps until their shoddy writing rears its ugly head again.

is this show still going forward?? i see it being canned just from lack of support

I've seen quite a few adverts for it in magazines and on TV so I doubt it has a lack of support.

Alot of old bsg fans are saying that their not watching it due to the lack of space battles...

As far as i remember in battlestar, there wasn't much space battles towards 4th season (sure alot of fleet and viper scenes, that was about it).

Those fans tend to forget the tension between the characters. BSG wasn't always about the sci-fi, it was more about the drama.

I guess they'll be airing the new episodes starting next Friday.

I watched the pilot tv version, there is visual effects added here and there and lack of tits too.

I'm mildly interested. There's nothing wrong with the show, it just seems he wanted to do a drama or soap or whatever, I don't really see that the show gains that much from being a spinoff from Galactica. But it is good and I'll certainly watch a few more eps before making any final judgements.

I'll have to wait till its on bluray, i hate watching more than 5 shows at once: Lost, SG:1, SG:U, 24, X-Files, Family Guy, etc

i need to finish up a few of these

This show is painfully dull, a little Big Love, a little Star Trek TNG( those shitty holodeck ones) and not a damn bit of action

I don't know if you were reading the genre to this show, its written under Family Drama, not epic space sci-fi
