You wound me sir:LOL: This show did remind me how lazy and crappy i found the drama in BSG. The space battles were usually sub par or ignored but still it was an account of warfare, which is interesting.

The Taurons are absolutely unlikable, from their boring honor crap to their poisonous effect on society. Also only function well when the bitch of a more coherent society, hey they do remind me of the Irish! This show could only be saved (but it wont) by hinting at featuring the first cylon war for the next season will watch some

I have only watched a few odd episodes of the wire, I've got the impression its about Society ills that being corruption, culture problems, race issues and etc.

Lolwut? the irish aren't the only people in the world that want coherent society, look at American, their still looking for a coherent society, look at the UK, The Scottish, English and Welsh fight have Devolution in their region, to keep their matter to their region without becoming a national problem.

The show is set 58 years before battlestar, the cylon attack took place 40 years before battlestar, do that math.

Boring honor society exactly, like the Klingons, no matter how much they portrayed them as valiant and dangerous, i found them plain undeveloped and uninspired, every sci fi show has some crap like them, from the Krogans to this.

Irish are shit without including the whole of the UK, much like the Taurons, disfunctional

Fast forward, set the stage and then show the problems escalation to war, and its 44 years to BSG, also has a character that lives through the two series, Will Adama, show that douchebags life for plot

I said they seems a blend of a few cultures. Italian seems the most dominant but there are hints of other cultures like the Irish in there too such what sounds like a famine happened in they're past, as for the meaning behind non-bullshit people, I mean non bullshit like the gypsies dealing with a problem, they don't talk, they'll either kill you or beat the living shit out of you.

You are saying the Taurons are like the Irish along with other civilizations. You are saying the Taurons are dangerous honor people. Thats what i mean by equating you wad.

They are pretty clearly middle east peoples, with clan loyalties trumping all along with backwards honor systems. No bullshit is a stupid comparison, everyone is like that when theyre drunk;)

These developers are always very coy about the first cylon war, with Razor not delivering on the promised story of the first war and now this one trudging toward it
 
Battlestar had problems with the rating too, but from I remember the dvd sells were good.
 
Well, looks like they're bringing it back into the realm of action scifi.
