Here are the stats on my car...

DarkRed 1985 Buick Centry Limited
4d Sedan
Power Locks
Premium Sound
4c 2.5l engine

Well lets see, it was once a burgendy now its dark red on the sides and a faided red with no clear coat on the top, the front and back bumpers and headlight houseing dont match the rest of the car given that they are replacments...3/4 of the power locks work given one of the motors are dead...the rearveiw windows all rattle, the window has to be "helped" to get rolled back up...And the ONLY reason it has Premium Sound is that i spent $350 getting it up to speed with a new sound system...ohh and the ac dosent work...

Can anyone share in my delma...

I know what you are going through.

Tip to make your paint look like new. Find some Bon-Ami cleaner (in grocery store) and distilled water. After you wash and dry your car, sprinkle Bon-Ami on the car and use distilled water and a rag to rub the Bon-Ami in. It takes a lot of work but it eliminates all of the oxidation from the paint. Once it is thoroughly clean, add a coat of wax and it looks like you got a new paint job. It takes a lot of time to do it properly but it is worth it.

All of the stuff you are complaining about can be replaced. Spend $20 and buy a Chilton's guide for your car. It will tell you alot about your car and how to take it apart. You can go to autozone/checkers/pep boys and buy a new lock motor and replace it yourself.

Though some replacement parts are expensive. I have an '87 El Camino and it is costing me $60 to replace window felts. :x But it is worth it once you get your car running smooth.

Thing is I would put more work into it, but im getting an 95 escort in a week free, so instead of putting more money into the buick ill have that escort running good...thanks for the paint tip ill use that on some spots on my escort...
