Yo, I have been modelling again :D This model if for http://www.neoshockmod.net/ I also had a chance to test out my new lighting skills I learnt with a handy little script.

If your wondering where the clip is, well tbh. It don't have one. You load the bullets into the Pistol like a shotgun and this is done for a reason (Gameplay style with bullets, you will have to wait for the new design doc)

Its about 2000 triangles without full optamisation, estimated triangle count after optamisation is about 1500/1800

Modelling time = 3hours

Hope you like it :D

Nice model, but 0.9mm bullets are a little small :p

rifles only use 0.5 bullets. ****. shit bastard, i just noticed its mm. I ment to be 9.0mm LOL! Got it the wrong way around. LOL

Ichi, did Pin ordered this?

It's a little weird piece...

ye he asked me to do it. I made it up consiting of both Hellsing and Trigun concepts.

Unless its amde of plastic like the Glock, or some light material, the gravity center of the weapon is way too ahead.
It's just irrealistic.

lmfao sprafa, its a mod. U need to get out more. LOL j/k

Ow another thing, guns have heavy barrels to increase the acuracy :D

Guns with heavy barrels - snipers or assault rifles - Why? B/c they can be held with 2 hands - Grav center can be ahead.

Thats why in pistols, Heavy barrels mean shorter ones.

And thats why everyone hates the Desert Eagle but Hollywood.

How are you going to holster it? It looks kind of hefty?

Sprafa's right IchI, pistols do need to have a more centered center of gravity, unlike this pistol, which would have an unerring tendency to learn forward and throw off aim. Two-handed guns, like rifles, can have heavy barrels purely because of the second hand, which balances it out and leaves the center of gravity centered.

Its a mod, it doesn't matter. lol.

oh well, who cares, it still looks damn sexy. reminds me of the gun in the Judge Dread game...bad game :p

nice renders btw, im guessing Skylights...lucky Max 5 git ;)

does the bullet eject on the same side u put it on :) lol bam ouch my face.

ye, but all gun models have that. Mainly because people like to see bullets fly everywhere :D

o contrare COD and BF dont do that :) but bf:v will saddly

having bullets going past your faces give u that little bit more of a fealing that u are actually shotting a weapon. I dunno. I like it tbh :D

the model looks great but the gun design is a little odd and the handle seems like it would be a little uncomfortable.

actually, almost every game in the history on man have the shells eject in the right stop... so does bf:v... jsut because you cna see them doesn't mean that that's the side there bing eject from...

what is this. sprafa and ichi, Neoshock Dev forum for team crits and suggestions.

Everyone else:
The gun is, in fact, a special pistol made for left handed shooters (ie. air bikers)
Also there is a heavy barrel, but the bullets are even heavier.

Hope that makes everyone happy.

ye I know PinFX, no one told me I had to make everythign secret. I actually noticed something, It hasn't got iron sights :p

nice design.. I really like the old-western sorta look you gave to it..

thanks. I tryed to make it like the trigun and hellsing guns. Havn't I already said this.... o well.

I really like this gun alot. the "western" feel is awsome on it.

yeah trigun rules, havent seen hellsing yet, I have it downloaded on my mom's computer tho :)

My question is why you would make such a large pistol have such a wimpy calibur as 9mm. Really, for something that big and heavy, it would be no problem to chamber a .45 and fire it single handed, the kickback would be minimal at worst. Even 9mm magnum rounds are weak compared to .45.

Also, you said it loaded bullets like a shotgun, does that mean there is supposed to be a tube magazine below the barrel or did you just mean it has an internal magazine?

Other than that, the weapon looks good. Very aethetically pleasing.

It has an internal chamber, like a shotgun.

Also I don't know bullet sizes. What is a big bullet to fit the weapon? I was trying to make it have bullets about 1cm big. I though that was 9.0mm but I just realised its not LOL!

The best resource on bullet power Ive found so far is this page:

http://web4.integraonline.com/~bbroadside/General_Info.html

It lists pretty much everything you need to know about any given type of ammunition.

That gun is HUGE! The model is nice and dandy, but good god talk about tipping the balance. It has to weigh like 7 pounds in the front and 1 in the back.

3 words:

Its a game

I'm just saying, IchI. It's a real life gun too so don't forget that.

nar, just kinda get bored of everyone talking about the balancing when it doesn't matter anyway because its a game. Also its not a real life gun, I made it up.

np, soz for going a bit off. I am so bored and stressed, nothing to do :(

Love the gun, is it 2k polies or 2k triangles? I don't know how half-life2 handles it, but if it's still an editable poly when you check the poly count, it will usually tell you about half of what it is as a mesh.

lol, dunno if u knew. but the gaming industry makes a lot more than hollywood already. Also its the fact that it is a game and its set nearly 100 years ahead of use and everyone are cyborgs. I don't think a cyborg is going to be saying "shit man this gun it way to heavy" lol. Thats like saying games like zelda and mario are bring the industry down because they do not reflect on reality. The whole point in games and the thing people loe about them is the fact anything is possible. Well nearly anything. Visually anything is possible. The fact you go do stuff you can not normally do in reality is a big pull factor to games because you can risk your gaming life without actually losing it (if thats makes sense)

the model isn't for Neoshock, Since I left and designed the whole model by my self I decided to just stick it into Corporate Anarchy, we are still discussing about if it will actually fit in the mod though.

I get what you mean though, but just because you call something just a game it does not mean that its not a serious game when its a fact that it is just a game.
