Castlevania: SOTN heading to Xbox Live Arcade!

Wow. Who could have seen this coming? I myself am very shocked, but happy for those who haven't yet played what might be the best game ever coded.

The September issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (issue: 207) reports:
Konami is resurrecting the cult PS1 game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on Xbox Live Arcade. Along with SOTN, Konami is also bringing back other classic hits, some revered (Frogger, Contra, Super Contra, Track & Field) some obscure (Time Pilot), and some really obscure (Scramble).

When will SOTN head to XBLA? Representatives from Konami told 1UP that the game is tenatively slated for a Q1 2007 release on XBLA.

Me neither, but I have played it since its birth and have it resting comfortably on my PC now too.

Hmm on your PC eh? I would give almost anything to be able to have this game in my hands again....I remember playing it on PS1 and having huge blisters on my thumbs from playing it so much and talking to my friend at school about it all the time (this was like elementary school..about 4th grade now I'm going into 12th next month. Man the time really flies). Needless to say its my favorite 2d sidescroller game EVER. I would say favorite game but there's also FF7 in the mix...

Not to mention this game is selling for 50 bucks a pop on ebay now. Yes its that good....yes its that rare.

Wow, I actually have a copy of this game too! Granted, the booklet is gone I believe, but the game is intact!

Sweet. SOTN is sitting on a shelf right behind me. Love that game.

I don't own a 360, though.

Lucky man so lucky you have it. Stupidest game-related decision in my life was selling FF7 and SOTN along with my PS1 back to ebgames...damn. Now people want up to 75 bucks for a copy of SOTN and I don't have a PS1 or PS2 to even play it on. Or xb360 to play the re-release
