Cat Emergency!

I found a brown striped cat in my backyard today and I don't know what to do. I know it isn't a stray because it has a collar with a bell on. It's not running away and I'm afraid its either hurt or hungry because it is moaning.

I can't find the County's SPCA anywhere in the stupid phonebook! :frown:

I dont think so, it's eyes are closed. I've heard cats in heat before and it's definally in pain.

Get it inside quick, it might have been poisoned....there HAS to be an animal shelter or vet you can get ahold of. I know a veterinary hospital would take it in. But please do something!

Well, it wouldn't work in this context, but I'm a fan of "aww, I'm getting a warm fuzzy feeling inside of me - and not just because I've eaten a cat."

Put up posters around your neighborhood and keep trying to contact the SPCA. You could let it go and it could find its way home, but only do this if you live somewhere that cars aren't a problem.

So apparently our SPCA is closed on Sundays and we had to call the police department. Once they took a look at it they called the SPCA. About 10 minutes later, the guy from the SPCA showed up. After looking close at the cat, I couldn't see anything wrong with it, even its legs. It's been taken to a local animal hospital, so there's some relief.

Now I have to write two gigantic essays by Tuesday. D:
