Catalyst vs manufacturer drivers

Wich one´s are the best? The drivers released from Ati themselves or the reworked drivers from the manufacturers?

The drivers that come with the card are the catalyst, always. You can download the Omega parties after you buy the card. Both are better in certain areas, like the Omega is made for performance, while the catalyst is made for better IQ(just an example)

Depending on driver version.. If the driver version is the same, I would go with the reworked manufacturers driver.. If Ati has a newer version of the driver out I would go with them. Most of the time the manufacturer can't keep up with supplying reworked versions of new ATi drivers, which means you will have to wait for newer versions of the driver. This is why I'm using ATi's drivers.

With my nvidia I had to use old drivers from the manufacturer because nvidias drivers didn't really support my card that well.. It wasn't as stabile and I actually got worse fps.

But I haven't had problems like that with my ATi card.. /me hugs his ATi ^^

Not neccesarily. Omega can have better IQ too. The difference is that Omega comes with pretuned settings, things one dont even know exists
