We've recently updated the Cause And Effect site with four new renders: the SA-80/GL, SPAS-12, MP5, and a fire stoker. It feels good to finally release an update after a few months of end-user inactivity.

With that out of the way, we're currently in the market for new members to add to the team. A few people have left in the past few months due to real-life problems, so we'd like to fill their positions, and garner some new members to boot. As of now, we need essentially any non-outrageous amount of people in the following fields:

Modeller
- Should be able to create character models

Animator
- Must be able to create smooth, realistic animations for NPCs and weapons

2D Artist
- Must be able to realistically texture NPC and weapon models

Mapper
- Must be able to create semi-linear single-player levels
- Should be somewhat skilled with scripting, and the Hammer I/O System

Coder
- Must be skilled in one or more areas of game programming
- Preferably skilled in AI programming

Reference work is not necessary, but it's preferable if you have some reference work you can show.

Hopefully some of you are interested, and not already putting all your time into another mod :)

Cause And Effect is aiming to be a scary and realistic singleplayer experience. Combining the stealth elements of Splinter Cell, the abundance of melee weapons in Manhunt, and the general "feel" of Half-Life 2, Cause And Effect is going to be a fairly original experience.

The story itself is being kept under wraps. All I'm willing to say is you play the role of a civilian trying to escape a fictional British city.

Currently, there is no multiplayer portion, but it's a possibility.

General Features are as follows:

- Combat that relies heavily on melee attacks
- A unique health system
- HUD-less
- Limited to three or four weapons at a time
- Realistic AI; enemies will experience fear just as you will
- Multiple enemies, each with their own advantages/disadvantages
