CD Install Problem

Hi, my friend has the DVD version of HL2.

But when he put's the CD in the DVD drive, nothing happens?
He's checked the hardware and it says that there is no problem.

I'd try to start it up via My Computer. Go to your D:\ drive (or what ever your dvd drive is called) and go and explore the dvd. Try to find a setup.exe. Give that the good old double click and it should initiate the setup.
