Yeah, it's kind of sickening to have to drudge through a dozen cookie-cutter rap songs just to get to one decent song with a guitar in it.

Since nobody is actually talking on-topic, I'll contribute the the discussion about rap:

Rap sucks and is made by dumbasses, for dumbasses.

most rap has no meaning or sould behind it, Kanye's rap is no different

on topic, Celine Dion is an idiot, you just have to look at her husband to figure that out

So a song about diamond-mine child slaves has a complete lack of meaning?

Even you have to admit it's a hell of a lot better than Outta Control or whatever the hell the most popular rap song is right now.

Anyone who caught Larry King live tonight will know what I mean. I can't find any video of it, but it will be repeated tonight sometime during the last half an hour of Larry King. Basically she started crying and yelling about how the Government never reacted quickly enough and she also stated that people are too focused on the looters and the while people find thing. She said it was easy for the country to send hundreads of thousands of troops over half the world to destroy lives, but they cannot even send 50000 in a week after the disaster...kind of weird to see her all rowdy like that..sort of scary..anyway if someone can find a link to it, that be nice, I can't find it myself. PEACE!

So why done Celion Dean and all the other kronie celebs get out their friggin wallets and donate some cash towards the help?

Its never the celebs that ofer cash, its always ere we'll do this show, but u have to pay £10 a ticket. That aint the celebs making the money its the public.

i think that they want money to do those donation shows...quite ironic if you ask me

yeh i heard about that b4, they do the show but also they insist they get paid for it. So the money they earn may get taken from the money on how much they sell the tickets and, they keep their wage. But nobody ever seems to tell celebs to get their cash out, yet again the public will be paying, i see more increases in tax, oil, fuel.

how many songs does he have like that? if i'm gonna listen to rap for meaning I'll listen to Will Smith, who doesn;t have to swear just to fill up a song

K-os is the only rapper worth giving a damn about, in my opinion anyways.

and Celine Dion is a bit daft.

I've heard of this West fella, though he has not patch on Zack de la Rosa. Rosa was the rap/rock/funk etc GOD! All hail Rage!

On Topic: Meh, alway knew Celine was crazy anyway

On behalf of Canada, I apologize for Celine Dion.

You must do more than that, rip out her vocal cords, then we'll call it even. :naughty:

now i don't listen to alot of rap music and most of it i do not even like.
just a handful of selective songs to be honest and only in moderation but...
i think Kanye is one a very few rappers who have meaning to his songs.

i think we can all agree how most rap is about money/women/gangstas but Kanye has talked about other stuff in his music which i think just separates him a little bit.

anyone who read my thread on that "stop snitching" video knows why generally rap music has close to zero credibility and that video proved it if anyone had doubts.

I am not a big fan of the rap but I hav see almost all the rap is pure about how money the raper hav,or pimps or "gangsta style" and I remenber another songs that wasnt not about that only
and I hav barely hear of kanye west but he look diferent form the tipical raper
cuz seriously now almost every rap song is just "yo yo I hav da money I hav da pimped ride yo yo I hav money yo and hookers yo and Ima da gangsta cuz I gat da money and Iam da cool yo cuz I gat da money yo yo yo" and in the music videos showing a expensive thing like if someone care

btw who is celine dion?

lol, this thread got SO derailed, and it's still open, sweet.

PS I hate rap as well....+1

PSS Still can't find a link to her bitching. Why can't she just die :(

hmm.. not sure why theres negativity towards Celine Dion, music aside.
society needs people to question government decisions, good or bad.. it keeps the government on its toes.
obviously, people with with influence and power (Celine Dion, Kanye West) do need to speak up and ask why it took so long for help to arrive etc..

if some of u have a problem with that.. maybe its time to delve a little deeper into pushing governments to do the right thing.

Stern, the sad thing is...for every post such as mine, theres +10 which are bashing the likes of Celine Dion and Kanye West... now i don't listen to either of their music so i have very little incentive to stick up for these celebs but they did a good thing by making a big deal of this.

ehhh.. since this is a board with so many younger people it just doesn't relate to people here or something.. i dunno.. its just become the fashionable thing to bash Celine Dion and Kanye West and [insert famous celeb here] without pondering why they asked these questions/got upset :|

Pfft, asking people to consider apropriate acountability for our elected leaders on this board is like trying to run a marathon while comatose.

I finally got around to watching the video, and, honestly, Celine Dion's "performance" seemed extremely scripted... i didn;t buy it, not a bit... it just seemed faked and overly dramatic

But don't forget we need to question those in power speaking out as well. As if the government is the only thing in this world that can be in error and everyone else is perfect.

Kane West pretty much says the response was slow because it was black people and Bush hates blacks so he wanted them to die. This is about a helpful as squirting jalapeno juice in your rectum. Yes, the government dropped the ball in reacting to this situation but I seriously doubt the cause is as simple as Bush and some mysterious white men in suits halting the rescue effort until their quota black people deaths was met. There is plenty of whites, hispanics, asians stuck in that tragedy too.

Comments like Kane Wests are devisive and insightful. We need to investigate as to why things happened the way they did, and I don't see how Kane West, Jesse Jackson, or Rev Al Sharpten can sit up there and pretend they know the answers to this monstorous situation already. Nobody knows the answers yet. We have time to figure this out, but in the meantime I would think as long as there are naked people to clothe and hungry people to feed we should uniting to focus on them and not dividing people into sides already.
