Was just hoping one of you guys running this site would set the clock time correctly. If this has been asked before then forgive me but its surely not hard to fix.

It involves trying to make the hamsters run backwards.

Meh the system goes off every so often, so it goes out of sync, not worth fixing if its gonna happen again. Best bet is to look in the bottom right corner :)

I'm not quite sure what the big deal is about a forum clock that's off by a couple of minutes.

It's off by 11 minutes on all my clocks. It seems to get gradually worse.

Then I guess we are doomed to slowly succumb to this malevolent time-vortex.

And to do that you first need to herd cats...even with ZM on your side I'd imagine it's a nightmare.

I dunno about that, but it's probably why I'm always late for work :E

How many times do I have to tell you? We know you don't work. We know that you make your Branston sandwiches, put them in your He-Man lunchbox and then go and sit on a swing in the park, idly rocking back and forth all day until it's time to go home. We know.

It's exactly 11 mins off for me too. I don't get why some computers seem to count fractionally faster than others... it should be all perfectly mathematically programed in and all that nonsense.

Ahaha, that's a funny vision.

Why would you want the forum clock when you have a perfectly good clock on your desktop ?

Heh.

It's a server issue :|

Computer clocks counting funny is generally a CMOS battery problem :)

\o/

I'll sort out some automatic syncing for it at some point

You had better, if you don't, then every hour on the hour i'll kick a monkey !

sooner or later the forum time is gonna be off by a half hour..than an hour.
at some point its gonna look a bit silly...and confusing :p

I dont think its off because its a bad clock, but rather, because its a timer interval in some programming language that isnt meant to be used to calculate the time.

nope, it's the server time itself which gradually creeps forward :D

The answer to all problems: Hit the server.

actually don't :/

Last night you seem to have put the site's clock one hour forward instead of one hour backwards.

The time's right here, it's 17:09 GMT
