And as a human being capable of criticism i have to say that even though Sam wasn't a great thinker, he had a voice, a mind, and a personality. Gordon is a silent nerd with glasses. and nothing more.(he probably listens to emo)
 
The newer gamers don't know half life that well, for them it's just a 6 year old game not worth playing because it looks like crap.
 
What kind of a comparison is that? On one side you have a guy who crawls around in tights, killing like 3 guys with a silenced pea-shooter and on the other hand a scientist-turned-world-saviour who cleared out a base full of freaking aliens with a crowbar..
 
Most of the people going to gamefaq are prabably console gamers who don't know half life at all. and we need 5000 more votes... so it's not happenin.

If you want to experiment host your own version of thier contest on these forums. You can set the polls to expire after a certain number of days, and when it does post the next batch, and compare the results to thiers.

Hehe. Well as long as you don't cheat in multiplayer, do whatever you like in the privacy of your own PC or console.
 
Come on... Sam Fisher has a bunch of sticky bombs/cameras and a non-existant automatic rifle. Gordon has a Crowbar, USP Match, .357 Python, Crossbow, MP7-PDW, XM29 OICW, SPAS-12, frickin' laser beam shooting Gauss Rifle, the entire species of Ant Lions (minus Guards), a Buggy, and his HEV suit.
 
Sam Fisher is just cool. I mean, a lot of Splinter Cell is just corny, like the enemies voice acting, or the enemies themselves, but Sam is just cool. That is all. Bye.

I've been unbiased for all the 100 threads on this. But when it comes to Gordon vs. Ryu Hayabusa, Ryu would and will win.

Ouch. I just saw Sam Fisher jump an extra 50 votes for, in the last 15 seconds.

Fisher is now ahead by 7000.

I found a quick way to vote several times. If you have a multibuttoned mouse you can program one of these buttons for the browser's "back". Now you can hold your mouse still on top of the "vote" button and click "mouse left" and that programmed "back button". Pretty easy.

It's all the console kids voting for Sam Fisher, and we can't compete with that zombie crowed.

Gordon is a god compared to Fisher, but fisher is still pretty damn cool and at least you see him when you play the game ;)

anyway Gordon has to win cause anyone i know will be like 'eeeer Sam is better because he won this poll'
 
As good as HL may be, and gordon freeman a cool guy...
