Cheap notebook/laptop?

Anyone know any good sites to find any somewhat cheap laptops for at least $900. I'm looking for a 15.4" widescreen LCD, 512MB Memory, DVD-R Burner, and at least a Pentium M (Centrino). I don't want a Celeron. I MIGHT get a Dell Inspiron 6000 for $937.00. Thanks in advance.

Gee thanks, lol. The cheapest I could find on Dell configured to hwo I wanted it was $937.00. I guess that's ok.

Do you have a real need for a laptop, because its more often than not, that people will say, I want a laptop, and not use it. My mate did it, spent £1200 on a brand new sony laptop, and after he got it home and the initial "wow" wore off, he was annoyed that he spend all that money on something he doesn't really need. I'm not saying that you are the same as him in that you don't need a laptop, my suggestion is that you ask yourself if you really need one.

Other than that, I can really only recommend going for something like a Dell or a Sony. They seem to be teh industry leaders when it comes to laptops.

just match your needs in terms of how much RAM/memory you need, i recommend atleast 512 for today, how big of a hard drive do you want? do you want to be able to burn dvd's? most of them come standard with them now. wireless is available in most of them as well...screen size? what's the laptop going to be used for? school? work? games? basic shit? I recommend Toshiba. Toshiba owns. Dell sucks balls.

I use it for school and work. Comes in VERY handy for school papers or quick homework at school and even at client's office's and such.

if it's just to type papers and stuff just get a dirt cheap one...
well maybe not DIRT cheap, but you get the picture
