I can't believe the price the british rail industry is expecting people to pay just to use their outdated unreliable POS rail network.

Does anybody know the best way to get cheap train tickets?

That's really helpful, sh33py ... but it would take me a few hundered thousand miles away from where i'm intending to go :)

Yeah, it'd be nice if they did some kind of EasyJet style train service. I certainly could have used them to get to Briterati II.

Get a student railcard. Other than that, try avoiding the ticket people on the train by becoming invisible.

Stick an out of order sign on the bog door, lock it and get comfortable. Be warned, if the guard susses you he can lock it another way, then your fukced.

We used to get etickets from national express, you have to buy one to start with, but once you have the template you can open it up in Dreamweaver and make your own.

I need one of them student rail cards... without them the prices are rather extortionate for the slow, smelly, rubbish trains which are delayed all the time...

The only time I have gone anywhere far on a train was last year where I booked tickets directly from Virgin, and it ended up more expensive that going in car; even though it was booked well in advanced, however it was convenient as it was early in the morning and was direct.

Try this www.thetrainline.com and get a student railcard, or look at getting a coach.

Get a young persons rail card, get like 25% off.
