"Check With Doug Lombardi After E3" - did anyone else notice that?

i remember a gamespot (i think article) about the making of hl. The one we played was "really hl2" they said, cause they did redo a huge amount of the game. >= 50% i think.

Whatever anyone bitches Valve obsess about Halflife as a quality piece of software. At least we can be sure that any delays that occur are actually for a reason because the money lost through these delays is their own cash and they want their business to succeed....i'm tired and babbling, soz.

Yeah I remember that, they said something like 'what people are playing is actually HL2' and they redid the whole game. The engine was done, but all of the content was redone. So anyone bitching at Valve for delaying HL2, would you also have bitched at Valve for delaying the mediocre game that HL was back then?

That old pre-Gordy sucked ass :D
Anyone got a picture of him?

that is a funny goddman pic, he looks so weird and nasty, glad they dodged that bullet

As I've said before, if it'd ended up him then we would've had the perfect candidate for the movie star: the one, the only Mr. Brian Blessed

wait till E3, then ask ur questions. even tho ppl say Valve have cocked up, and it aint so great now that farcry etc are out are wrong, it will be the best game eva.

Doug Lombadi isnt really an offical source anymore, more like a distraction so valve can sneak out the back door.
ROFL, its funny because its so true.

yeah you cant trust Doug as far as you can... err well actually he looks pretty light so that may be a bad analogy.

lets cut down the insults please fella's.

is anyone looking foward to getting hl2 for xbox?
Nope. It won't be any different than the PC version.

No different? It's gonna have to be toned down alot, that's different. And it sucks.

But once again, that first image you posted about the boxart is just photoshopped, doesn't anyone see that? "I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!"

Yes.. Dougy It came out 6 days before sept 30... however the interview itself might been done weeks before.

They dont run around making all the articles the day before they print, and good off the rest of the time betwen releases, they actually travel around interviewing ppl in the time between mags ;o) :D

I'm doing a jouralism internship right now so with what little knowledge i have it's fair to say there is no ****ing chance that the interview was a last minute thing, they have to organise so much, the deadline for getting any articles in could even be as far back as a month before the magazine, or at least 2 weeks before publication, probably more. There is so much that goes into producing these magazines, you can't even imagine.

The editing takes several very hard days, there will be a sales team and marketing to ok everyhting with. Getting the articles to all fit is agony. It is naive to assume that because you see something in a magazine that it is right up to date, especially with monthly stuff.

My point exactly :) however it does bring more pull when it comes from someone from the business.

I'll bet Doug'd say it'll be coming soon...very soon...and he'd be right...very right.
