Alright, so after looking through portal's vtf files a few week ago, I found this image. It is part of Chell's arm texture and is quite interesting (at least to me). It seems that Chell has a tattoo, one that would most likely only be on some sort of prisoner due to the id number. My guess is that that the test subjects were never supposed to live very long, or at least they wouldn't be leaving the facility. This leads to my theory: Chell isn't an employee of aperture labs or someone's daughter from "bring your daughter to work day". She is some sort of criminal who had made a deal to get tested in return for a reduced sentence or the like (or was just sent there against her will). Or she is some sort of dime a dozen clone fodder used to keep costs and legal issues manageable. That's my say, I checked and didn't spot any other posts about this, so I said what the heck and posted. I Just thought that someone might want to think about it. Anyway, see ya!

It's not used in the game. Chell's number is 234.

1033? WHY NOT 1066?!?! :|

Welcome to HL2.net. It's safer here.

It's 122-7605. Look harder, there is a logo.

Ah, sorry...never noticed his username. :P

I'm confused now...

[edit] looks like you got everything sorted out now lol

Uhh... Just wondering, isn't that the standard format for American phone numbers?

Needs an area code.

Also, welcome to HalfLife2.net. It's safer here.

Dare someone to ring it...

Only if they live in America obviously

You pick up the phone, dial the number put it to your ear and hear...

'Rise and shine, Mr.Freeman....Rise and...Shine...'

Yeah... then you get sucked into a universe parallel to that of Half-Life.

And um... they'd have to be called Mr. Freeman.

And it's also similar to UK phone numbers, except, again, without an area code.

Both are 10 numbers, right? I've never had to phone England. It's like 4-1-5 isn't it?

oh man, someone needs to to try it!

be sure to make your number ananomous befor you do

hmm... good find though

It's a bust.

"The number you dialed is not a working number. Please check the number and dial again. ---- Message 3-RLG1 ----" - Repeats twice more then hangs up.

That's it.

Example: 0161 458 2462

But people down south do it funny, they have a string of 5 numbers followed by two strings of three. Much like a mobile number.

Teh internets are weird.
Its probably because teh internet is not a truck :)

Quite.

And in London the numbers are 4-3-4.

Perhaps it's the location of where one of the developers lives. Maybe they're lonely and want secks so they hid their location in the game where someone lonely who wants secks can find it.

oh. i like to think as it is a bunch of good smelling cookies being handed to me with some milk. and to make it manly, whilst shooting teh crap outta that monster from cloverfield. OH YEA!!!

It's 122 MINUS 7605 and it equals -7483. SEVEN FOUR EIGHT THREE!!! I hope you all know what this means?

(it means that I paid attention in math class in primary school)

hehe sorry, i should treat these forums with more respect. u got to admid that cookies are good, and the movie cloverfield was also preety good.

Cookies are not as good as cake...

Regardless if the cake itself is a lie or not.

Damn that "cake is a lie" got old fast.

And cookies are better than cake. Cake frosting is universally nasty.
