Chile miners being rescued!

"17 miners rescued"? ****ing escort missions.

lol'd

Apparently, they've gotten a free trip to see Man Utd at Old Trafford, Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, a free holiday to Greece, and $10,000 each.

Our national tv here just played clips from the rescue to close the 9 0'clock news with the BOB theme over the footage. FUK yeh

CHI CHI CHI LE LE LE!!!

Have they all been pulled out yet?

I bet they played a lot of Minecraft to pass the time.

Currently eight of them are still trapped, but I think that by the end of the day, or even tomorrow morning, they'll all be out.

Especially since they're not getting paid for their time down there.

Wow. My old boss on construction used to say "If you fall off the ladder, you're fired, and when you hit the ground, you're trespassing."

Or something like that. I had always assumed he was joking.

Jesus Christ.

Linda: Unless something is done quickly, the trapped robots will be dead within 300 years. Sir, what rescue operations are planned?

Mine Spokesman: The plan is basically to pave over the area and get on with our lives.

I'm sure the last human being out will be a rescuer. The last miner will still have that rescuer there with him helping him in, making sure everything is proper before he heads up.

The rescuer of course will be able to get himself out.

Last guy about to be rescued. It's all finally over.

the perfect opportunity for a planet of the apes prank, wasted.

oh well, good news on them getting out though.

Glad they all made it out. They're definitely going to be needing some psychological help for the next few weeks, or even months, to come, but I think they've already gone through the worst of it down in that mine. I'm quite surprised how quickly this whole operation took compared to the amount of time it was expected to take originally.

Hey, this is some pretty great news. It's nice to see a happy, resolved, ending to something like this.

Oh god that would have been ridiculous.

Yeah. Imagine suddenly being all along in a dark, half-mile long cave while waiting for the next elevator to come down.

"...Hey, you know this place ain't so bad when packed up with all those other guys."

Or of course the whole GETMEOUTOFHEREIHAVEBEENSTUCKHEREFORWEEKSHOLYSHITWEHAVEBEENPISSINGONEACHOTHERTOSTAYWARMANDHYDRATEDBUTLIKEIT'SONLYGOODTHEFIRSTTIMETHROUGHTHEURINETRAVELSTHROUGHYOURBODYORELSEIT'SKINDA'MOREGROSSTASTINGANDAPPARENTLYINFECTIOUSBUTISUPPOSEIFIAMABLETOSHOUTFORTHISLONGANDLOUDWITHOUTANYTROUBLEIMUSTSURELYBEHEALTHY.
That's when he realises he hasn't been yelling.

That last 24 hours was probably the longest of their lives - especially for the last guy up. That waiting... that waiting.

Do you have any idea what it's like? Well, if you've ever been a prisoner, then you might.

I bet ya some people will start making conspiracey theories saying this was a plan from the president piñera to gain support....

This was great news. I'm surprised they are all still alive and kept hope. That would be one crazy situation.

Also, now the question that should be asked is...

How many do you think experimented with each other down there? ;)
