One child policy + traditional Chinese culture that big's up boys and continuing the family = hilarity for single joke comedians for eyars to come.




Really though its probably going to help strangle the Chinese population which I guess is what they want...

It's been like that for a long time. Chinese families are only allowed one child and loads abort their babies if they are having a girl just so they can have a boy. There was a report not so long about the kidnapping and how the Chinese men are resorting to paying for a wife as there aren't enough girls.

Kinda like that, and the one child policy is only from people of the Han ethnicity living in cities (I think people living in the rural area are allowed 2 children?).

They should prevent the doctors from telling the sex of the child to the parents until it's too late to make an abortion.

Another thing is that they're allowed to have two children if both the parents are single children, as to make their support at old age easier.
