Chinese teacher kills 11-year-old girl in class

BEIJING (Reuters) - A Chinese history teacher beat an 11-year-old pupil senseless and threw her body from a fourth-floor classroom window, killing her in a so-far unexplained frenzy, a local newspaper said on Monday.

Li Hengyi, 28, attacked Zhang Yaoyi during class on Wednesday at a middle school in Yongzhou city in the central province of Hunan, the Beijing News said.

"He knocked her head against the desks back and forth and stomped on her after she fell," the newspaper said. "He then produced a steel bar to beat her."

Li later picked up the motionless Zhang, said he was going to take her to the school clinic, but opened the window and threw her out instead, the newspaper added, quoting an unnamed witness.

Li, whose motive was unknown, had been detained, the newspaper said.

There have been a series of attacks on schools and schoolchildren around China in recent years, some by people who have lost their jobs or felt left out of the country's economic boom.

In May, a man set fire to a kindergarten classroom, killing three children and injuring 14 people.

WTF...that guy needs to be put to death. No one should be beaten to death..for any reason. Unless they commit a crime like that.

As a cartoon it would be funny, but now when its real life its horrible. Damn now the rest of my night is ruined...

I cant just understand how someone has the power and will to actually grab a minor and just beat them...how can you possible do it? (if its not for a good cause or self defense or whatever) but for no reason to do it...why do it?

I just cant understand these people...
 
This would be an awesome thing to have done to the "boss" or whatever. Not an 11 year old girl. Unless the boss was the 11 year old, I see no reason.

Did the guy just randomly flip out? I dont understand how someone could do that... even if he was a murderer, a logical person would not have thrown the body out the window, and would not have done it in a public place... like a classroom.
 
Isn't it allowed for the teachers to discipline the students with violence? I would blame that, if so.

He's probably serious. Numbers talks about in south korea how the teachers can discipline students physically, at least I think he did.

Who knows, might be the same in china... and the teacher might have been consumed with his power. Dunno.

I might be confusing another country... but I have heard about some countries where the teachers discipline the students pretty harshly, and yea I was suggesting that if that is the case here, then perhaps he took it way too far and killed her brutally.
 
tbh they shud have him beaten by 2 UFC fighters.. then thrown off the empire state building for that...
 
This is just more evidence to what I have been saying all along.

School is bad for your health. Apparently you can even die and or get set on fire.

Wow. So he first bludgeons the desk with her head, then stomps her probably unconcious body, THEN 'produces' a steel bar and beats her with it, and if that weren't enough, he picks up her now most-likely lifeless corpse, announces to the no-doubt mortified classroom that he will take her to the nurse, but instead THREW HER OUT THE DAMN 4TH FLOOR WINDOW. Talk about overkill!
