A few thousand monks protested once in Guild Wars in the Southern Shiverpeaks. It was for a few days.. Didn't get much accomplished, but it was a good time. NO HEAL, NO DEAL.

um numbers is south korean. i realize all "those people" must look the same to you but they each have very different cultures. maybe you should ask a japanese person, they might be able to shed some light on it, kind of like i shed some light on your RACISM.
 
No, I think Stern was just referring to the fact that Numbers also hates the Japanese ;)

We all hate japan. Japan sucks. Its considered actually taboo to speak of Japan in a good light. So, we throw stones at Japanese who come to Korea, but not the tourists because they come to see (and spend money on) the buildings and temples that were reconstructed after destruction by the Japanese Imperial Army.


And of course, if a japanese survey ship or coast guard vessel come near OUR territory that they claim as theirs, we chase them away with 40 gunboats and 5 destroyer-class warships. And if they come too close, here come the mortars.

Why we hate Japan, is the atrocitys of the past, and its the same thing with NK. Japan, in our eyes, is planning the complete and total domination of East Asia. They are arrgoant SOBs that don't even apologize for their misdeeds. We have the military might to reach their capital in 6 months or less (but they have a stronger navy, though).
 
And also, I should mention that there are several words for other nations in Korean.

Il-Bon: Japan.
Il-Jae: Imperialist Japan
JJokBbari: Pig (which also means 'Japan')
Ssibalmichingaejjokbarissaekki: ****** ***** ***** ***** Japan *****

That kind of attitude does nobody any good, what happened in the past was evil but they paid their price (two nukes) and people should learn to move on.

What your estimation does not factor in is the numerous US battleships / forces stationed in Japan for their protection, and seeing that the two are strong allies, the US won't let you just waltz in.

Hmm... Diffrent cultures.

Japan bombed pearl harbor and killed many of our soldiers during the war that followed. Yet now we are close allies.

I personally think that the whole asian culture is too keen on holding grudges.... That's just my opinion from the facts I have, though. Feel free to prove me wrong, I don't actually know a lot about asian cultures.

What is it like in south korea, anyway?
