out of those two, Chris Rock. but Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy are funnier.

Both are extremely funny but I would have to go with Dave on this one.

EDIT: Tied race, 5v5.

I literally cannot vote. I seriously believe I like the two of them equally. Although I think Dave Chapelle's standup might have makes me a laugh just a LITTLE harder, so I guess it's DC for me.

Is Dave Chappelle that guy in the Pepsi commercial where a vacuum cleaner eats his pants?

Chapelle. I dunno these comedians are ok. But their material is too race involved. Im sick of comedians who have to relate everything to the color of their skin and how people with blackskin are different from people with white skin. Its overdone and just not funny.

Oh lordy it's like my favorite genre of comedy.

Never seen Dave Chappelle, but Chris Rock wins just for his Robitussin bit :)

After watching Chris Rock's "Never Scared" HBO special, I'd have to go with Dave Chapelle. My God, Chris just did not shut the Hell up during his performance. "I'm not talkin bout rich, I'm talkin bout wealth! blahblah I'm not talkin bout rich, I'm talkin bout wealth! blahblah I'm not talkin bout rich, I'm talkin bout wealth *chuckles* I'm not talkin bout rich, I'm talkin, bout, WEALTH!" Ugh. Sometimes repetition in comedy is a good thing, but taking four years off did NOT help his career. :|

Neither are that funny... some episodes of the Chepelle Show are good I guess...

English comedy is the best. Ricky Gervais..John Cleese...etc. I dont find Chris Rock funny one bit..probably due to his really annoying voice.

If you answer chappelle, you probably haven't seen chris rock live.

I agree with Letters... neither are that great. Rock is better though.

Theyre just making fun of it all, its not like theyre picking on just one particular race.. they make fun of them all..

Im a white guy and if Dave wants to make fun of white people, dammit, im gonna laugh :D

It's not making fun of racial differences (physical or social) that is the problem. It's comedians that only tell jokes about racial differences. I mean, eventually you have to come up with something new or people will get tired of hearing the same jokes slightly reworded.

Exactly.

I am not offended by Chapelle's jokes one bit. I just don't find his racial humor funny.. and being funny is what it's all about.

I saw Chris Rock live in NYC once. They're both amazing. But Chappelle's "The Time I Got Taken To The Ghetto" bit from his standup routine is the single funniest 15 minutes of comedy I've ever heard.
