The game is awesome, really enjoying it and its far better than Doom3. I am just dissapointed on the eye-shine, it doesnt look like in the movies at all :(
And i would have wanted to see a Pitch Black game instead of Chornicles of Riddick. imagine playing in the dark with those alien monsters. All there is in Chornicles are stupid, crappy zombies and mers aswell as prisoners.

Apparently, Tigon is going to make more. It's one of my favorite games of all time. Everything about it is so sweet.

Are you saying they'll make more Riddick games ?

It is but wouldnt it have been much better if it was based only on Pitch Black, because that movie is fantastic.

I loved this game too, it's a good game. Real good. Except, too short!@!!@E#WEdasr

I was actually quite surprised how much I enjoyed this game. It was very good :)

No, not at all. Riddick benefits simply because it is not based on a specific movie. Just because a movie is fantastic does not mean it will make a fantastic game, on the contary is actually - it'd make it far worse (if it were to be based on the events of a single movie)

Well i mean they could have used the alien monsters too, because they played a huge role in Pitch Black.

yeah the hammerhead monster are very cool,I hope to fight them in a next riddick game

The Riddick franchise is very schizophrenic, IMO. It's as if it's not sure what it wants to be. Pitch Black was a suspenseful sci-fir horror movie. Butcher Bay was more like a gritty prison drama full of swearing and blood. Chronicles was the overblown action movie. As intrigued as I am about the characters and the universe, it lacks consistency in its feeling.

That said, Butcher Bay was an amazing game! Thank God they intend to keep Riddick alive in the games after the movie bombed.

(I personally don't think a game based on the events in Pitch Black would have worked well. It wouldn't have offered enough diversity.)

Next, we are going to have a Riddick chick flick movie!

I'd agree with that, and I must admit I did not like the direction they took with Chronicles of Riddick the movie. It really wasn't that good.

Indeed. Riddick is ranked as one of the best fps games ever released, and rightly so. A sequel with a bigger (as if the first one wasnt big enough) budget and more dev. time should be amazing. I can`t fault the game one bit. Everything is so well produced and detailed, and all the features overshadow the bugs, like the aa bug.

I also loved the Riddick game. It turned out to be a lot better than I had expected. Can't wait to see where they take this franchise.

yeah riddick was awesome, wasnt a fan of the aliens towards the end but everything else was pretty much spot-on, bit short though...

Loved this game also, just hated the bit in the underground tunnels where you have naked freaks running around groaning.

The game is not based on one of the "movies". It's another piece in the Riddick series.

The series of story goes:

Escape From Butcher Bay -> Pitch Black -> Dark Fury -> Chronicles of Riddick

In Butcher Bay, Riddick is an esablished criminal with Johns all ready having captured him. Pitch Black, starts off right after Escape From Butcher Bay, remember how Johns takes the drug shoots all the time? It's for when Riddick stuck him on Butcher Bay. Dark Fury I haven't seen, but it takes place directly after Pitch Black, and explains why Riddick goes to that specific planet to hide. And ofcourse five years in hiding, Chronicles of Riddick starts...

...and then tomboy Jack turns into sexy Keira who learns bad-ass ninja kung fu...

I thought they both kicked ass, although I did like the first one a bit better. Game sure kicked ass though. Can't wait for another to come out

Ofcourse. It only makes sense. Jack followed in Riddicks footsteps, believed him about going to prison to acquire the eyes, and did so. It's only natural that she can fight, and became his counterpart.

I really liked the aliens...But yeah, definately too short. My only major complaint with the game is the incredibly lame finale.

One thing i really liked, was that the firefights took time to get through as Riddick isn't a god damn expert with guns, like oh so many numerous games.

really? i hated them, they constantly spawned too which was annoying, just reminded me of the trigens, the mech part was funkin awesome, i loved that bit, great graphics too, nice to be able to actually shoot out the lights to use your stealth...

You were reminded of the trigens? :O

How awful :p

I loved the mech part, it was the actually finale in Hoxies office. Antli climatic and some pretty lame enemies.

Loved the game loved the movie. Simple!

Except it's such a dramatic departure from the original character that it comes off as stupid and cliched.

It's as if the writers were dying to create some hot female lead but were looking for any possible way to link it to Pitch Black. So they took Jack, completely changed her (including the name), and practically made a new person.

I think it would take more than five years to become the ass-kicking queen she was portrayed to be. That's not something you just pick up on the go.

I disagree. Can you even picture the original "Jack" in that prison? How the hell would a kid like that end up there? Would they even be able to survive? No way. Jack changed to become like Riddick. She didn't pick it up on the go, it took her five years. In case you haven't noticed, that is a very long time. A person can master the guitar in five years. Surely you can get good at kicking ass?

Not ass-kicking of her level.

Top Secret, I really don't care about the practicality of the situation. The fact is that "Jack" no longer existed and they could have just as well created an entirely different character.

If they wanted to put Jack in the movie, then they should have retained more of that character. Nothing dictated that their reunion had to take place in a prison. Nothing dictated that she had to go down that particular path and turn out that way. The writers could have completely spared us this "Keira" bullshit.

I must say i love this game, i havent had this fun with a game since HL2. Ive just reached the mines and this game sure is scary sometimes. Everything is great, i cant wait to see the end :D

I played the game a second time with God mode on and used nothing but the hand-to-hand.

why good mode, that sucks. I completed several levels on Realistic in FarCry only using knife.
I guess its alot more difficult in Riddick since its only small indoor maps.

Just completed this game, one of the best game ive ever played. Also everything is very well made compared to many other games.

Final battle was shite, but the dudes have very neat magical tricks!
