hmm...that plot sounds interesting but i really hope Venom does not have a huge role in this movie and basically use this movie as an introduction to Venom instead.

my reasons? simple...Venom deserves a movie as Spidey's villian all to himself...no sharing the spotlight with any other major villians
at least thats how i feel.

I'm glad I'm not the only one upset that they didn't follow the Gwen storyline begining with the first movie. I guess it was just too dark for them.

I just hate it when they crap on a superhero's history to try to dumb it down for non comic fans

sure they can do it with an obscure character but this is spiderman ..arguably one of the best known superheros

I agree. The complexities of the story should never be changed simply to appeal to the masses when the character is as popular as spiderman.

Neither do I. Although, if I see a movie based on a book and they mangle the plot, I get pissed. So yes, I see where Stern's going with this. Just depends on what medium you love.

and I agree ..to a point. The gwen stacy plotline was almost as life changing as the death of uncle ben ...it's an integral part of his development as a superhero as well as that of green goblin

Perhaps Raimi wants to switch it around? Jane dies and Stacy becomes his new love. I think I heard a rumor where Dunst doesn't really want to be involved anymore so this could be the perfect scenario. Harry will kill Mary Jane and Stacy will take her place.

Spiderman 1 was horrible in my opinion 2 was ok/good just because of doc. oct. 3 sounds interesting tho. Venom Sandman should be very cool to watch.

seriously...having a brief introduction to Venom in this movie would be perfect and also give enough screen time for Sandman.

I agree a Venom + Carnage movie would be insane but lets hope they didnt **** up venom or sandman for that matter.
