No, but he did send me a copy of the colour manual 'lowering the tone', which I often use when posting here.
 
Sorry to spoil everyone's illusions, but Australia is still mostly normal: all our poisonous and venomous snakes, spiders, mollusks, amphibians, insects and plants have been killing off all the inter-world wildlife. And what they don't poison to death, the crocodiles, sharks and cane toads eat :p

Besides, there's almost nothing here the combine want. Except maybe uranium.

Except that it's always a sci-fi trope / cliche to have any given toxic alien species to be thousands of times more poisonous than any "pathetic" earth species.
 
I bet Antartica is untouched Combine wise. And I like the cold...I'd live in Antartica in City -17 :p

Its likely there are about 60 cities, Europe probably contains 1-20 or so, and then Asia has the next 20 or so, and onto the U.S & Australia. Its likely that Africa and Southern America didn't survive the portal storms due to how rich the nations there are, and so have been turned into giant antlion breeding grounds.
 
I'm tired of people saying "oooh antlion breeding grounds!" Antlions aren't the be all and end all, people. They control this area of the planet, but they aren't invincible and a military should be able to easily wipe them out. There are other Xen creatures out there, damn it!
 
I wish Valve would bring back the old Xen creatures. Coming accross like bullsquids in the middle of the forest would be pretty sweet. Except grunts and those flying brain dudes. They can go to hell.

The Gargs are dead. they were way too powerful to roam earth unchecked, so the combine kills all.
There are 1 or more gonrachs though, in control of the combine (unused model gonarch sack). So there are babyheadcrabs too, though unseen.
The alien grunts were build in a factory. With the dead of the nihilanth they seaze to make them and finally die out. The controllers died with the nihilanth.
The big tentacle things are probably also killed by the combine.
Race X where the first scout troops of the combine (i'm going to get it now...)

That leaves the advanced headcrabzombie from OpForce, snarks, houndeyes and bullsquids.
I think leaving these 4 creatures out, makes a huge plothole.

City 17 has the main citadel, the ambadassor of mankind, and G-man chose to place Gordon there.
17 is now THE center of the Earth.
Oh and North America is worse, even worse than living in or around 17.
 
It would be interesting to go somewhere famous, like New York, and see what the Combine has done to it. Doesn't seem like it'll happen though. Sorry, this is a pretty old thread, huh. PLEASE FORGIVE ME! NO BEATINGS, PLEASE!
