Anyone seen this movie. I saw it yesterday morning and boy is it awesome. If you havent seen it I highly recommend it.

Yeah, it's brilliant. Seeing the neighbourhood develop over the years and fall into a downward spiral is really fascinating. It's also refreshing to see a film not hold back on the controversy... children killing each other and the like.

Yeah, awesome film. The intro was so beautifully directed. The scene where little dice makes the child shoot the other kids was sooooooo difficult to watch. I am usually not squirmish to violence, but the ability of the child actors and the honesty of the direction make it almost unbearable, in a fantastic way.

Great movie...it takes place in my hometown(city of god is a portion of the slums, not an actual city)

Ye really good, I saw the special features and the area the film is set in; is basically that bad. They had footage of shoot outs in the slums, and interviews with lots of real drug lords...pretty screwed u
