Civilization 4 problem.. D:

So, everytime I install it, it goes up, I go into multiplayer, and it tells me to patch. so I do. It restarts, and after I click the shortcut it gives me this.

This application has failed to start because D3DX9_31.DLL was not found. Re-installing may fix this issue.

So I DO reinstall, and do it all over again, and the same thing happens.
Any ideas?

I'm finding it hard to get into Civ 4, I bought it a week ago and I've played it once. The last time I played a Civ game was eons ago (the first one) and a lot has changed....it seems a lot more complicated ;(

Okay. I got it fixed. I needed some runtime thing... anyway, It is a fun game. I got back into it because Beyond the Sword is coming out..
