Clay-Mation With a Digital Camcorder?

I was wondering, can you make a clay-mation film with a digital camcorder?

Or do you need a stop-motion camera?

you can if you just record every frame one by one and then link them together in some kind of program. other than that I dont know what you mean.

you could but you would prob. have so many extra frames

Well video is 29/30 frames a second generally for NTSC formated video (Pal is 25?). Could use anything that takes stills on a tripod really. Lot of pictures. :O
Stop motion camera would be a lot easier to use of course.
