Before working at Lucas Arts, Clint Hocking's more notable role in the game industry is leading the development for games like Far Cry 2 and the original Splinter Cell at Ubisoft. A couple of weeks ago, he had announced in a blog post that he had left his post at Lucas Arts, where he spent his time working on unannounced projects, to move on to something new.

Today, Hocking revealed in a pic tweet that he had arrived at Valve HQ with his son.

It's unclear what role he'll take on at Valve. There's still work to be done on Team Fortress 2, Dota 2, and Counter-Strike: GO. But maybe his time will be spent working on the more secret of projects like, uhm, Ricochet 2. Stay tuned as always.

nvm, mind was playing tricks on me, looked like him in 24...

Hmm... Lucas Arts or Valve, decisions, decisions...

Far Cry 2 and Splinter Cell didn't do anything for me. I imagine he'll do better work at Valve however.

You think he looks like Kiefer Sutherland?

I enjoyed Farcry 2, to a point. Perhaps one of the few problems I had with that game is that the Immersion becomes broken when the same Arms convoy circles the same patch of land for the 20th time.

He was a lead developer on Splinter Cell and Chaos Theory.
