i want to know too! also, why couldn't you toss him around with the crowbar? i haven't beaten it yet so i don't have all (any) of the answers, cloning or something maybe? i guess it could be anything in half-life. the only thing i'm worried about is that it won't be addressed at all, which would just bug the hell out of me.

might be another bug.. Be weird if its real.. maybe he's a clone.. ooh maybe there's a tie in with Battlestar Galactica and he's one of the 12

I'm guessing it's a bug. On that level, at the beginning, the combine are watching that little encampment from a house. If you look through the binoculars, you can see the G-man talking to someone. It's supposed to be one of those little "omg the g-man" moments. I guess sometimes he doesn't dissapear.
