Codec troubles

I need to play a certain file but winamp, divx, realplayer and quicktime won't recognize it. It has "hdtv-loki.[VTV].avi" at the end of it after the name. I know avi means it jumps to window media but that doesn't recognize it either......HELP ME!!thx

Are you sure you have the divX codec installed? Also, you could download and try playing it with VideoLAN's VLC player. Its open source & free and supports loads of codecs. You can find it here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
