Coincidence with gold statement?

Since the preload happened I thought that a gold statement was acpectable in the next 3 weeks. I emailed Gabe August 27th at 6:30 CST.

When Hl2 goes gold will you annouce that you've reached gold status?

Some 4 hours later, Gabe posts a message about hl2 going gold on monday. Coincedence or not?

Just good timing, i doubt a company would decide to go gold cause someone had emailed them asking :)

not saying that they went gold because of me, but rather decided that when they were ready, to make the announcement

pretty sure they would have decided to do that a while back.
 
I didnt mean for this to sound like a consipracy theory or anthing (I think those are retarded) but i just thought it was really coincedental or something
 
They should have waited until it actually went gold before making an announcement, because with Valve you never know what might happen.
 
Anyone else playing on a 500 mhz, geforce 2 mx, 128 mb RAM???

I can't control myself?! :O i hope this 100% the truth otherwise i'm going to go into a comer until hl2 is released :LOL:
