The highly anticipated mod Cold War: Melting Point has returned under new management and is currently recruiting developers for the mod.
It's late October 1962, the height of the Cold War. Soviet ships carrying nuclear weapons have run a US blockade around the island of Cuba. The US immediately responded by landing forces in Cuba. Soviet forces in Europe begin to gather strength for an assault on the Fulda Gap. This is where it begins. The Cold War has reached its melting point.
Cold War: Melting Point (CW:MP) is a multiplayer modification that focus around its unique time period and gameplay features. Never before has this time period been touched by first person shooters, and never before has a multiplayer game had such a dynamic campaign system that allows for wholly different experiences each time the game is played. Aside from the dynamic campaign system, CW:MP also has many other unique features, such as its class system, stamina system, and clan-friendly save system.
The first public release will include a basic campaign based around the war in Cuba. Future releases will include larger scale campaigns based in Europe, Russia, Asia, and other locations.

Required skills:
- Experienced in Valve's Hammer Editor
- Can work with a team
- Understands level flow and gameplay concepts
Bonus skills:
- Knowledge compiling textures for the Source Engine
- Ability to model, unwrap or compile
- Experience working on a previous mod team

Required skills:
- Experienced in a major 3D software package

- Experienced in Photoshop or other major 2D software

- Extensive knowledge of a major animation software package
- Ability to compile for the HL2 engine
