Always weird and a shock to see a big name suddenly disappear.

Too bad he wasn't a bad driver or I could have said that he died doing what he loved: crashing.
 
really sad! why the **** wont Paris Hilton die instead of a man that actually did something.
 
I don't watch anything to do with driving cars, but RIP anyways.
 
God I loved playing his game as a kid, the man was a legend.

What he meant was you'd expect the guy to have perished in a rally car accident rather than a helicopter crash. It's some what ironic, yet still a terrible tragedy.
 
Very sad news indeed. :(

Such a tragedy for all family and friends involved, and a huge loss to the racing community.
 
So it's not known why the helicopter went down?

Oh dear what terrible news, this is really upsetting to read. He was a great driver and his games put his name on the map for people who didn't know the sport and almost every gamer will know the name. Devastating for his family :(
 
Can't believe his kid died too, condolences to his wife and daughter - the family unit has been permanently and abruptly severed. R.I.P.
 
I've never really been a fan of racing, but death in general is a terrible thing.

The son, was a rather depressing touch. RIP.

Thats what I did tonight...gotta say it is quite possibly the most visually appealing racing game I have ever experienced...

I watched his X-games performance when he hung up his rally car on some barrier. I laughed, and didn't think he'd be involved in a much worse crash so soon :|

My sentiments exactly :(

Remember his battles with Sainz in the mid-late 90's, he was a motorsport legend.

So sad this happened and to involve two young children as well

I never knew who he was either, I always thought it was just a name on a game.

The news is still saddening especially since there's children involved.
 
Very sad. He did a lot for the sport and brining it to people who may not have ever heard of such a thing before. RIP.
