Collector's Edition Bonus Items

Gabe announced a long time ago that one of Half-Life 2's SKUs will be a collector's edition with some neat exclusive stuff.

Assuming that a Collector's Edition is still planned, what cool stuff would you like to see included?

Please keep your suggestions reasonable (no ideas for "a working rocket launcher", or "a super-detailed Gordon Freeman action figure with metal HEV suit and HEV voice chip").

Assume that the retail price of the Collector's Edition will be $69.99; that should be a good price for HL2 plus a few bonus items.

Suggest as many items as you want, with the assumption that not everything you suggest would be included in a single CE box (the more ideas, the better).

I avoided listing things like soundtrack CDs, concept art, etc., because stuff like that could easily be put online (or mp3s taken from the game itself, in the case of the soundtrack), so there's no point in putting that stuff in a CE.

Here are my ideas (I figure one or two of these could be included):

* Mini metal crowbar (keychain size, maybe 1/6th scale)
* HL2 on DVD (instead of multiple CDs)
* Headcrab keychain
* Extra DVD with making-of footage
* Electronic G-Man voice box (plays a selection of G-Man lines from HL2)
* Black Mesa ID card (a paper or plastic ID card in a plastic sleeve with a space to put your own picture) with metal clip (If Black Mesa isn't featured in HL2, maybe some other kind of ID card more relevent to HL2's story)
* Miniature replica of a unique weapon from HL2 (manipulator, alien weapons, etc.)

-- Three (3) randomly-chosen Half-Life 2 Action Figures
-- your copy of Half-Life 2 pressed onto gold DVD/CD Set (the kind of CD/DVD you use as the Gold or Master Version, for CD pressing)
-- A City 17 Citizen ID Card, with random barcode and serial number
-- A City 17 Citizen ID Patch, to put on your shirt, pants, school binder, etc.
-- A Half-Life 2 Logo or Crowbar Keychain
-- Official Half-Life 2 Desktop Theme and Steam skin
-- A Half-Life 2 poster depicting all the main characters, signed by the entire team
-- Behind the Scenes DVD/CD Set, containing interviews, music, concept art, unreleased game content (models, sounds, enemies, levels, etc), and all the E3'03/'04 Half-Life 2 videos

4. Special behind the scenes DVD
5. HL2 sticker (metal one if possible)

I doubt a T-Shirt will be in the Collector's Edition, considering people of many different shirt sizes will be buying this game. I think that ID card idea is really cool, and it would be cheap enough to make and package. I'm thinking that they will include a "Making Of" DVD or a pewter action figure. It really doesn't matter, because it could come with syphillis in a box, and I'd still probably buy it.

the making of video would be cool. I hate nick nack crap like keychains or t shirts. I would never wear a hl2 shirt ever. Well maybe if it was like a muscle shirt and just had a small icon of the lamba on like the left sleeve about one inch in size.

Like a full size HL2 crowbar with the dev team's signatures, a trip to Valve's offices on an all expenses paid trip, and 500 in cash.

Valve should just take every suggestion here and release a seperate "Half-Life 2 Party Pack." It would be a huge Headcrab pinata which is filled with T-Shirts, figurines, ID cards, keychains, hats, and bonus DVDs. Also include rope for hanging the pinata, and a real metal crowbar for smashing the pinata. It would be great for that "Half-Life 2 Release Day Party" that every one of us is planning.

if they have a dvd version of the game, ill definately buy the SE just for that. like ut2k4, i really dont want to install 5-6 cds of a game :\

i wouldnt mind a dvd with tutorials on how to make custom art. maybe a keychain, poster, or t-shirt.
