Collectors Edition?

;X In this one post I remember somebody saying that they pre-orderd the collectors edition. I'm wondering where CAN you pre-order it? I've browsed thru atleast 4 sites and none of them had it. It was just the regular version, hell you don't even know what version it is at ebgames. If it's in the wrong place, somebody please move this?

I hope the Collector's Edition is released at the same time as the plain version... or else I will be forced to get the regular HL2.

I'm saving my money anyway untill I know where/how to get collectors edition.

Nope. I can wait a month or two. I was actually planing on saving up for 400ish bucks and getting the pack of the Radeon with HL2. Might be a good idea to junk this GeForce MX 440. It's either that or the collectors edition. Heck, that might be the collectors edition?

so when the game comes out you are not goin to buy it. but wait for the collectors (if it is isn't out same time) right? i so bet u buy what ever one is first

well i would like to get the collectors edition however if it comes out after the normal one i will buy the normal one. because im going to want the game right away.

You don't have to _wait_ for the collectors edition people. Like Spiffae said in another thread, it would be a lot easier to just rent HL2 over steam for a month, and cancel your 'subscription' when the collectors edition comes out. Heck, even if I don't buy the collector's edition, I'll probably rent it over Steam first so I don't have to deal with retail and shipping BS, but later I can buy a box and manual and CD too.

As long as I can pre-cache HL2 during the week before release, renting/subscribing is definitely the way to go for the first month.

not much is known about the Collectors edition, aside from the box being silver, if nothing has changed in its design since E3. i thought id heard it was comming out later but i honestly dont know for sure. supposedly it will be more expensive and have "lots of cool things for people who like cool things"
