Combine Soldiers using Rpgs in Episode 2?

Havnt you ever fired off a rocket then hid behind thin cover only to realize your still staring at a red dot 2 feet in front of your face...
Actually, I found out how much damage it does when I was trying to kill myself. At first I just used grenades, then I moved up to rocket launchers, and finally decided the best way to kill myself was with a rocket and then an SMG grenade.

Heck, one time I spawned a bunch of heavy objects over my head to see how many it took to kill me.

Bring it! This episode is already shaping up to be beyond my expectations - combine with RPGs will be even more fun.

It would be a bonus if they used the AI from TF2 and rocket jumped by accident ;)

I would prefer them to have a manhack launcher that fies 4 at a time.

i wonder if any new guns will be introduced altogether...

Gluon gun ftw!

The idea is cool, even in HL2 i was a bit confused why the combine didn't thought of using our (the resistance) own weapons agains us, as we used theirs. :sniper: like we crushed more than a dozen striders and gunships with this weapon, and they were so defenceless! :E

This will indicate some sort of experience in the combine infantry in fighting rebels...know thy' enemy...and will certainly make the game more challenging, and i love challenging! :)

Of course, what Valve will do, they'll probably make the soldiers piss poor shots even on Hard mode, or make them straight shot rockets, or even give them limited ammo. I'm sure there's some way to make these rockets really cool to watch, but possible to avoid.

Or maybe valve will put them at an open area where you will see them before they do, and not hidding as snipers :p

And also, on the battlefield you will certainly have some sort of cover, terrain objects, trees, e.t.c, not just sittin' ducks in the plain and seeing the rockets commin' at ya!

Mostly true, but uhhh... did you ever count how many rebels were killed versus striders killed? It's not really 'one equals one', if you know what I mean ;)

That's because the common resistance meber is an unskilled citizen, and not a big mean killing machine like Gordon :p

i hope we see in the future Ex-special force Rebels, with their old uniforms and tactics helping gordon. that would own.!

I'm thinking most of the military were forcibly assimilated into the Combine Post-human Overwatch...

I would like it if they showed more of Gordon. I loved being able to see my body and shadow in FEAR. I also liked the ladders, you don't just walk over and zoom up it with your gun still held infront of you, you have to actually grab and climb it.

I would like the occasional Combine trooper to carry an RPG, but I want them placed well. It would be silly for them to, for some reason, not have laser guides when you and the rebels do, but I want some nifty way to stop them. Grabbing/deflecting with the gravity gun, or being able to shoot them, or both.

I hope they have a better looking RPG launcher than the one we get. Like... a proper one, y'know? The one we use is made by Rebels, right? Or is it meant to look crude and hand-made?

Personally they'd be better off with guided energy balls.

Maybe.

I hate seeing your body, it ruins immersion. Stand on the edge of a ledge, aim with your assault rifle and look down. What do you see? Your arm going through your leg which happens to be floating in mid-air.
