Combine vehicles resemble insects.

Think about it.
The Strider looks like a spider.
The Gunship looks like a wasp.
The Dropship looks like a fly or something. (those of you who have seen PCG UK screens)

The only one I don't know about is the tank. Beetle, maybe?

Thats an intresting thought.

I'd say the gunship looks more like an aquatic creature, notice the fins.
Strider doesn't quite have the lower and upper abdomen as well as eight legs, but I can see where you're going with it. I havent seen the dropship. And as for the tank, I'd say it looks more like the combine architecture, probably because its one of the few vehicles that are combine controlled while the others are just machines.

yeah, thats a good observation. Most aliens in films resemble huge insects though, i tihnk its a continuation of that. Insects magnified do look really alien.

The dropship looks more like a spider to me. The legs actually look a lot like those of a tarantula,...

And of all four, I reckon only the Dropship and Tank could be called true vehicles... and even then, I'm pretty sure the Dropship is a living biomech too...

And what about the Combine Helicopter we've seen? That looks like... um... a helicopter...
