Hey... since we're on the subject of enemies in HL2, will the garg return?
Or are headcrabs, zombies, icthiosaurs (sp?) , vortigaunts (slaves) the only ones returning from hl1? (wrong thread but w/e)

I'm kind of hoping that we'll see all the beastiary from the original HL, but it's unlikely since some of them may be out of place... Maybe we'll see them in HL3.

I'd be disappointed if we didn't get Gargs. And those damn Houndeyes. They were really cool because they were cute in that sort of "I'd hug you and start making baby sounds if you weren't threatening to rupture my internal organs" way.

...And chumtoads! I want to see chumtoads!

Actually we've never had a garg-woman encounter, so you can't be sure they'd burn them. They might chat them up.

on the subject of houndeyes, the first time I saw one I did not shoot, I was going "hey cool, look at these little dudes, they're harmless! hey! what's that soun.. OWW!! Damn ****ing dog-****s!" [massacres them with shotgun]

from then on, I had an intense hate for them.

I reckon VALVe had a slight goof-up in deciding to make them hostile... I know they made them hostile because people enjoyed shooting them, but hey, people enjoyed shooting the scientists too, and VALVe didn't make them hostile...

Clearly Gargs are studs and wow all the ladies, just look at their exoskeleton!

You could prove it by making a mod where the gargs meet up with some female assassins for hot big-giant-exoskeleton-alien-on-highly-trained-assassin-ladies action.

reminds me of Natural selection. Hardcore marine-gorge action!

And how true damage! Nothing beats massacring scis with a crowbar (and listening to their pleas:
