Combine WIP

if thats a gun in his left hand, I would recommend his thumb clasping onto it more, otherwise the gun might kinda tip out of his hand. Just my opinion though! Looking good either way.
 
I am guessing he uses photoshop for colouring. And it looks better and better every update. I am enjoying this pic, cant wait to see it finished :)
 
Nice work...but be bold, and don't crop the legs. Feet are tough, but when you pull it off, it will look so much better.

Oh..well I just assumed, since this is a progressive WIP, that the latest rendetion represented the current state of the drawing, as a whole. Excuse my ignorance..lol. Can't wait to see the finished work:cheese:
 
Smaller update than i expected, but still i've got 13 days to go, so i think i'll manage to colour this before the 30th :D

oh and i'll update this again tomorrow or friday, if anyone wants me to?

Very good stuff. It was your drawing that inspired me to color the Barney one.
 
The shading on his pants is really nice, but it could use some darker shades, even black in the big creases. I realise you might not be up to this yet but just crittin. Very nice!
 
Exelent shading you did there matey, it is really starting to look sweet. I cant wait to see more :) BTW, you maby have some of your older work for show? I'd love to see some more art from you.

hmm lets see...i guess there's like 20 or so layers, in 5 folders/groups...it is'nt really that much.

Btw i'm gonna update this tomorrow, its nearly finished so i can hopefully send it off to gabe or someone from valve later next week, or as i'd like to call it--the "gold" week :D

i've gotten rid of the bg for now, since its obviously taken its time just to color the combine---so i'll probably do that later on if the guys like it, and want it with the bg....

Yo scribblehead, I have the logo as illustrator format, you want it? do you have msn or some sort so I can send you the file because I dont have any webspace now.

Ok since i won't get to update the combine thing today, altho i really wanted too (postponed till tomorrow)

now this is still the latest update i've got, without showing the final thing, but this is basically how its going to look, if you guys have any comments plz post them or pm me.

its 1024x768, so 56k'ers and lower it might load a bit slow.

(mind you i'm still not done with the gun.....rendering/painting metal or guns is really difficult.)

Looks really great... but it's too bad you did get rid of the background, as I think that would have added a ton to it, even if it was only sketched in.
 
Well i'll still do the bg, i thought i wrote that on page 3 or was it 4??...either way it'll be done, just not now---i've got a shitload of work and school to do this last week of the month so i'm basically just fine tuning the combine instead of wating hours on the bg....but don't worry, it'll still be add, just later on.
 
looking good, you might add a bigger and brighter highlight on his cloathing and shoulders.

Yay! Yeah, I read your post before but I wasn't sure if you meant you were going to get rid of it when sending to VALVe or what.
