...to the world of the Mighty Boosh.

:D

Brought season 1 last week as It was going cheap and my freind goes on and on about it. Man, I'm not disapointed. I first saw it.. ehh, when it was being aired on BBC as season 2. I watched the 'Old Gregg' episode and I just sat in front of my TV thinking ''what the hell is this?'' and thus, I went on ignorantly from there claiming the show sucked and was over-hyped by my freind. What a fool I was.

I just love how... 'different', it is. The characters, the locations, the stories, the songs. Damn, the songs are great, man. I find myself listening to them for actual listening purposes other than just having a laugh at them. Its amazing.

So, does anyone else watch it? Whats yer favourite episode/character? I think all the characters are brilliant. From the drum and bass dancing Black Frost to the cockney Hitcher (''500 euros?! You won't see penny-one from me, you slag!''), right up to Mr. Susan in the mirror world (''Look at them shine!'') and the break-dancing Mutant people under the Zooniverse. :D And of course, the main characters, Howard and Vince. What a pair.

My favourite episode so far was probably Bollo, but Tundra and Hitcher were fantastic too. I brought season 2 today, so I watched the first one of that, which was also awesome, as always.

Buy the 'Boosh.

Proud owner of the 2 series boxset! Boosh fanatics unite. I'm sure Reginald will make an appearance in this thread, too.

So many of my friends just don't get the programme, always looking for the most obvious and overplayed jokes (needless to say, they're fans of such crocks as Friends, Spoons etc.). There's none of that in the Boosh, the dialogue is just so different and genuinely funny... "Who are you, Johnny Segment?"

P.S. I have Rich Fulcher's (Bob Fossil's) phone number :D

I was the same as you, saw one episode and completely misunderstood it, assuming it was just crap. Later I checked out bits of series 1 through some clips on youtube and began to really appreciate the whole show. I reckon series 1 is better than the second though, somehow. More Bob Fossil!

Cockney Hitcher is my favourite character by a distance. "I'm a cockney geezer, I'm gonna bleed yer!"

I just watched 'Nanageddon', which is about half way through Season 2, so I can't really solidly say what I prefer. At the moment, though, I'll say Season 1, but I'm still really enjoying Season 2. :D

Yeah, me and my freind (who got me into the Boosh) took series 1 around to our mates house to show some other of our close freinds what we were raving on about the last few days. Me and my freind laughed and laughed... but everyone else just sat and stared, blank eyed at what they were watching, not even a smile emerged from any of 'em. You could cut the tension in the room with a knife. Ah, well.

I presume you got that from the live tour, then? Man, I wish I had gone to that. I was asked to go, but it was during the time I was determind that the Boosh was horrible rubbish. Was watching some live clips on Youtune last night... damn. :(

The Mighty Boosh is an incredible series, taking things that bit further, and taking risks which were a success. Seeing the live show really set everything in stone for me seeing just how fantastic these guys were on stage.

Great television!

I haven't watched enough of it, but what I've watched is sometimes hit and miss but when it's good, it's awesome. Cheekbone (or whatever it's called) is the best fictional publication since the Hitchiker's Guide.
