Ok so I just got a brand new computer here are the specs: Amd Athlon 64 bit processor 3700+, Nvidia GeForce 6800 GT, 1024 mb ddr 3200, on board sound, 160 gb harddrive, abit motherboard. Now, when I loaded up CS:Source, it runs extremely smooth, but when I check to see the fps, it will not go above 60 or below 59. I though max_fps 300 would uncap it, but it did not. Isn't there a command to do this? I remember there being one for cs 1.6. Any help?

I think it will use your monitor's refresh rate or simply always default it to 60. My monitors refresh rate is 75 and fps_max is 75 and I can get 75fps when staring a wall.
