Commandos Strike Force Demo Today

Looks kind of low-qualtiy, but I have been very excited about this since I heard about it. I love demos. Can't wait to try it!
 
im kinda hyped up about the demo now after i heared about the spy levels
 
Well, I can say that it was enjoying to play, except the annoying bugs which I hope they've fixed till now... :p

That''s sort of what I expected: fun to play, but nothing too great or impressive. Still can be a good time though. Hopefully the demo won't have as many bugs. :D
 
This could be the final death for the Commandos series unless they pull of something good.

Commandos:BHL, BTCADuty and Commandos II were awesome.
 
Downloading now. If they've pulled off the transition to 3D well, this should be awesome :D

I sure hope it's better than the piece of dinosaur crap commandos3 was...that one utterly destroyed my hopes for the commando series...
 
I'm actually playing C2 at the moment since my comp is undergoing repairs, and it's one of the few games I own that this laptop can handle...
 
Ugh...42 min. to go. And this is at work--we have huge pipes!! Can't wait to get it home and try 'er out! And yes, I will post my full impressions later :).
 
read somewhere that it plays very much like Hidden and Dangerous 2 ..which I absolutely loved despite all of it's bugs and thought it didnt get the attention it deserved

Well, I thought it was pretty good. There are a handful of weapons to choose from, sniper rifles, assault rifles, panzerschrecks/bazookas and all that. The maps were good too, some differed from size of each other but they are playable and pretty damn fun.
I only played multiplayer though so I don't really know how the singleplayer is yet.

Downloading the demo now by the way. :)
 
fileshack is giving me great speeds ..I'm at 78% despite having started 20 minutes ago
 
Cancel your downloads, gentlemen. This is awful, awful, awful. It's just mindless shooting with no substance, with mindless 'sneaking' (again, with no substance) and its graphics are shocking. Also, it appears to be locked to 800*600, which is just unforgivable.

Totally crap. Has the Pyro team had a clearout since Commandos 2, leaving only the untalented staff?

It reminds me of CoD/MoH but worse (if that's possible). Consolised piece of garbage.
 
saw this on bluesnews:

In order to change resolution go into the config folder and open JeugoVer.cfg.

Edit these lines:

.resolution ( 800.000000 600.000000 )
.resolutionNTSC ( 800.000000 600.000000 )

to what ever you want such as (for 1280x960):

.resolution ( 1280.000000 960.000000 )
.resolutionNTSC ( 1280.000000 960.000000 )

but in the pages they look diferent and the names too

for example I remenber the green beret was called jerry
 
Commandos. Why did they have to go to fps? The original top down view was the best.

They're different characters. No green beret or sapper etc.

I want to go reinstall Commandos 2 now.
 
i found the game to be mediocre at best
didnt even bother to finish the demo
 
Is it me or do I find the fact that the developers locked their graphical settings to be counter-productive? Personally if I were to demo a product, I'd want the public to see it at it's full glory with all it's bells and whistles. This is like having someone try a new car minus a few wheels and a dashboard.
